What are we achieving ?    The planes are still bringing in people who should have returned weeks ago.  They knew they were on count down.  Our borders should have closed and stayed closed to everyone. The mere fact that planes are landing bringing in hundreds of returning  residents ,  all over the  country is subjecting some people to risk.  

Whether it be the baggage handlers, the staff on the plane, the customs officials, then the Coach drivers taking them to the smart Hotel .   I feel for the Hotel staff, the owners may be making money out of this  venture but I wonder how the general populace  will feel about  staying in those rooms after all this is over.   I have a feeling that those Hotels will be given a very wide berth.     Hotel staff in particular will be hoping that they  stay safe from contamination.      I can imagine how the family of such workers must feel,  am I safe today , will I be   safe tomorrow.    

I have just spent a great afternoon! I cannot believe  how much fun I have had. All because Redhead’s TV blew up. Yes, I know that sounds terrible, I really do. But it meant that I could spend an hour or 3 breaking the boredom. 

And I started to think of Grandma Mazour. Janet Evanovich’s marvellous older lady who continues to amuse me and amaze me after so many years. 

"Grandma has a .45 long barrel that she keeps hidden from my mother. She got it from her friend Elsie, who picked it up at a yard sale. Probably it was in Grandma's purse. Grandma says it gives the bag some heft, in case she has to beat off a mugger. This might be true, but I think mostly Grandma likes pretending she is Clint Eastwood."

Well, I know that Grandma Mazour isn't Redhead, but this Wuflu stuff is bringing out the Grandma Mazour spirit in my Mum.  Her TV gave up the ghost today and she would have shot it had it not already died. In the middle of a virtual lockdown, how dare a TV die? Not that there is much to watch, but that is not the point. But Mum would have bloody shot it if she had a .45 for being such an inconsiderate piece of crap.

It had NO RIGHT to switch off when we are stuck at home - if Trump was our President he would not have allowed it. Well, OK, she didn't say that, I did. But you get my drift.

Well, the Wuhan Wog aka the Coffin Flu, seems to have hit the world with a sledgehammer.  It has only been a short time, but I am starting to lose track of what day of the week it is and my whole routine of daily life seems out of whack.

I am sitting here at three o clock in the morning and the possibility of sleep is a distant hope. The neighbours across the fence must be suffering from cabin fever or financial distress syndrome. Either way, the proverbial has hit the fan tonight. The last time I sent an article it was about little children. This time, it is about adult upon adult and it is not good. People, it seems, cannot cope very well with not being able to knock about with their mates. The stuff that is going to go down in this shut down is going to be very bad. It has already started.

A few weeks ago, a few months ago, we were all wandering about, getting our cars serviced, having a breakfast and coffee out, meeting with neighbours friends and family. Today, tonight. It is all over.

Life, as we know it, appears to be over. For now or will it be forever changed?

Today, I sit, alone, in lock down, pondering what the future will hold and how the hell we will cope moving on? After all, China, whether it admits it or not, WAS the source of the virus that has brought the Western World to its knees, our economies to the point of collapse and our lives to a punctuation point that may be a semi colon, a comma, but could also be a full stop. 

Oh, the outpouring of love for China and its Citizens has been enormous. The outrage from the liberal left that racism could prevail - to such an extent that Italy encouraged people to hug a Chinese person. Well, that worked out well, didn't it?

Our outpouring of humanity, open borders, love of our fellow Citizen and embracing of all creeds colours, ethnicity and background has been bloody marvellous, hasn't it? An overwhelming success. We are now fighting for our lives.

GOD BLESS OPEN BORDERS? NO! NO! A thousand times NO!
