According to Wikipedia the Person of the Year is an annual issue of the United States news magazine Time that features and profiles a person, a group, an idea, or an object that "for better or for worse... has done the most to influence the events of the year".

That is a very fair assessment and, to be honest, little Miss Thunberg has done a hell of a lot to influence events in 2019. So, on this occasion, I would agree that she has been quite a central figure on the world stage.

Being the Person of the Year does not mean a good influence. It means, as it says, for better or worse, a big player in how the year has panned out.

Back in 1938, Adolf Hitler was on the cover. In 1979, Ayotollah Khomeni graced the cover. Stalin has been there. So has Rudi Guliani ( as Mayor of New York during 9/11) Donald Trump in 2016, Obama and Putin.

The Time Person of the Year for 2019, little Miss Thunberg, has thundered across the world on a rampage of hysterical and angry grimaces, well rehearsed and questionably plagiarized speeches, skipped school to play truant on a yacht, hissed and how dare you’d her pathway on a mission to guilt trip her way to the cover of a magazine, made from paper that no doubt knocked down quite a few trees and is now one plait short of a Sainthood.

It is absolutely 100% true that she has been a major influencer in the year of our Lord 2019.

In so much as Adolf Hitler changed world events back in 1938, there is no doubt in my mind that Thunberg has done more damage to social and political unity than almost anyone since 1938.

She has divided families, friends and caused upheaval and struck fear in the hearts of children globally – almost to the point of mass hysteria. She has caused children to fear that their lives are going to be short and will end in global annihilation, destruction and cataclysmic hell on earth.

Miss Thunberg   has given seeds of uncertainly a soil of propaganda, anger and futility and planted them in a garden of horror, hopelessness and hellfire.

Yes, Greta Thunberg has been a major figure, for better or worse, who has done more to influence events in 2019 than any other person.

Her contorted face, her eyes so full of venom and condemnation will be forever etched on our memories as the child who changed our world.

From one of hope to hopelessness, from optimism to pessimism, from courage to fear and from confidence to futility.

As she spat out her disgust that we had “ stolen her hopes and dreams “ all I can think of is that she is the thief. She has stolen the hopes and dreams of millions of children and, aided by her minions, her deluded and manipulative handlers, she will disappear in to the annals of history and leave the parents to pick up the pieces and hope that the damage that she has wrought can be undone with love, kindness and commonsense.

Though I wonder. It may be more like 1938: a forerunner to years of hell on earth and that her appearance on the cover of Time Magazine is more a pilot episode of a long running series of horror stories…. Only quite how we cancel this particular scenario is anybody’s guess.

For me, this face, this plait, this troubled and mentally challenged young woman is a harbinger of hell on earth – and it is NOT Climate Change.

Personally, I would have preferred Konan the Hero Dog. But I have always liked a happy ending.

Miss Thunberg is not so articulate without her handlers writing her speeches.
