Everybody needs good neighbours

neigh

Neighbours when you get a bad one move into the street  it     effects everyone.

A bit like neighbouring countries, really.

Doesn't it make you realize how much we depend on our good neighbours.   The call for help, I am going away for the weekend can you bring in the bins.   I am going to be gone for the school holidays can you water my pot plants and a few special things in the garden.   Oh and my mail , can you collect my mail .  We are only too happy to oblige our good, helpful, friendly neighbour because they do the same for us  or their neighbour .

The Era of the wimp, the coward and the ill informed.

ea1

It is beyond abhorrent that our elderly are being NOT cared for despite being in the so called care homes in  Australia.

I am not sure who I am more angry with : the Government for allowing it to happen, the families for allowing it to happen or the so called care providers for allowing it to happen.

These people are the fathers and mothers, daughters and sons, grandparents of Australians. Too busy and too preoccupied to give a damn about those that gave them life.

More importantly, this disregard is a symptom of what is to come.

The Era of the wimp, the coward and the ill informed.

Private enterprise is all for profit .

As a woman, I was proud of what we achieved then. But now, I am not so sure we did anything other than bite ourselves in the bum. And in turn our menfolk in to pawns, pansies and poofters.

Scooters, scooters everywhere and no one seems to think.

mb2

A few years ago the only scooter in our area was my late husband's Mobility scooter.   Registered with the  Transport Department , all legal and  above board.   ( Australian vernacular for legal for those of you unfamiliar with our turn of phrase  )

The Mobility Scooter as a mode of transport is usually owned by someone who used to drive a car  and is aware of the dangers and is much more alert.

Shame on you Australia - Bloody Shame.

en

I read an article on  ( shudder ) ABC this morning. I don’t normally go any where near that viper pit of leftist lunacy but I received an email from a friend who felt that I should read this particular article.

Well, as I said to him, it made my blood boil with anger.

What kind of country have we turned into?
