Mar A Lago was willed to the U.S. Government in 1973 by the heiress of Post cereal to be A WINTER WHITE HOUSE.
But after Jimmy Carter decided to get rid of the property in 1981 Trump bought it in 1985 for roughly 8 million dollars. It sits on 17 Acres, has 3 bomb shelters and in 2017 Trump's press secretary (Spicer) revealed it had a 'Sensitive Compartment Information facility' as well. What the hell that means I have no idea.
It was built by a woman named Marjorie Merriweather Post. Over time, Marjorie transformed the mansion into an official wintertime presidential retreat. She spent $7 million building the property in the 1920s...$90 million today.
After using the property for many humanitarian endeavors, she turned to plan B in 1968, which was to make Mar-a-Lago a WINTER WHITE HOUSE, property of the United States.

After Marjorie died in 1973, the Post foundation pursued her vision, but after 8 years the federal government offloaded the property because of excessive maintenance costs and when it finally went to market, Trump bought it.

At the time Trump bought the estate, Mar A Lago was considered a White Elephant: It had been left vacant for over 12 years and was in need of a renovation. Post’s heirs sold it to Trump after a long, protracted series of negotiations. Initially they wanted $23 million for it, but known for The Art of the Deal, Trump paid only $7 million for the property, plus $3 million for the furnishings.

Call me foolish but somehow, when I see that Trump is setting up a shadow Presidency from Mar A Lago and Washington DC is being locked down and " protected " by thousands of Military personnel, why is it that I am thinking that the REAL Presidency is now at Mar a Lago and Washington is just a prison for the evil and the guards are not to protect but to imprison?

Washington is owned by the Corporation that Trump got rid of. It is now defunct as the capital of America.
Since the Act of 1871 which established the District of Columbia, people have been living under the UNITED STATES CORPORATION which is owned by certain international bankers and aristocracy of Europe and Britain. You know those guys: The Vatican. The City of London.

The act — passed when the country was weakened and financially depleted in the aftermath of the Civil War — was a strategic move by foreign interests (international bankers) who were intent upon gaining a stranglehold on the coffers and neck of America.
The Act of 1871 formed a corporation called THE UNITED STATES. The corporation, OWNED by foreign interests, moved in and shoved the original Constitution into a dustbin. With the Act of 1871, the organic Constitution was defaced — in effect vandalized and sabotage — when the title was capitalized and the word “for” was changed to “of” in the title.

What Congress did by passing the Act of 1871 was create an entirely new document, a constitution for the government of the District of Columbia, an INCORPORATED government.
The forming of this corporation in D.C. is of major importance to understand, for when President Trump signed an executive order in 2018 on Election Interference/Fraud for entities both foreign and domestic, it outlined how assets would be seized. The President and the people knew and had the proof that a coup transpired out of the Corporation of the United States of America along with other foreign nations and was ignored by the Corporation in D.C.
They continued with their illegal steal, and the military is now in the process of seizing the assets of this foreign country known as THE CORPORATION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. It appears that President Trump’s executive order was actually directed at the Washington D.C. corporate swamp/cabal all along. D.C. is now walled in and filled with military guard.
