I read this hard hitting comment on Pickering Post written by a contributor BruceRugby and was struck by what he said.

Brendan Tarrant was, as many would remember, the man who carried out the Christchurch Massacre in New Zealand, back in March 2019.

So why was I struck by this?

Here is what BruceRugby said:

“ Why has Brendan Tarrant drifted off the New Zealand landscape ? Why is the Moslem issue never mentioned now that the perceived traitor Ardern has winged to international notoriety? Why is the issue of disarmament of NZ being swamped in Government propaganda ? Are these issues being dumbed down because there is an election looming?”

The perfect recipe. A radical, white male shoots up a mosque and outrages a country. A Neo nazi white far right murderer of innocent peaceful islamic devotees at prayer.

Since that fateful day on 15th March, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has brought New Zealand to the forefront of the media throughout the world. She sobbed, cried, donned a headscarf and embraced the Islamic population of New Zealand with a fervor that was astounding in its global passion.

Since then, she has addressed the United Nations, pleaded for peace, love and harmony and has mounted a plea for the rights of refugees from the war torn Middle East to seek refuge in her country at the bottom of the world. Ms Ardern has offered her Nation of New Zealand as the poster child for all things Islamic, green and climate catastrophe related.

Bear in mind, however, that Ms Ardern is only Leader of New Zealand because of the coalition formed by Winston Peters, the leader of the New Zealand First Party. Whilst to some that may seem an oxymoron, who am I to judge? New Zealand first ... for whom?

Mr Peters shocked many New Zealanders when he formed an alliance with the Labour Party, led by Ms Ardern following the NZ election back in 2017 – something that led many Kiwis to feel stunned that 7% of the voting Citizens had given a three way Coalition between the Greens, Labour and New Zealand First the right to govern the Nation.

Will they be returned in the next election? Who knows….. Certainly, many New Zealanders feel betrayed by the “ Kingmaker “ Winston Peters who has enabled the leftist Labour Government dramatically change New Zealand in a very short time frame – and some would question if this has been in the National interest and in accordance with the mantra of “ New Zealand First. “

I, like BruceRugby, who first posted the comment, find it very concerning that New Zealand seems to be losing its way.

BruceRugby went on to say “ I have to wonder if Ardern, Peters and Tarrant were put on trial , Ardern and Peters for being perceived as traitors by many, and Tarrant for murder, a jury might bring in a verdict of guilty for the first two, and not guilty for the man who foresaw New Zealand being turned into another Sweden? “

Like him, I also have to wonder.

I do not applaud or countenance the actions of Brendan Tarrant.

However, for a Leader to change the entire fabric of a Nation, based on the actions of one man on one terrible and dark day does seem to be somewhat troubling.

I read today of an elderly lady in Perth, Australia, who was raped by a migrant ( she has since passed away ).

How is it that we are so very tolerant of this sort of atrocity? We are so quick to condemn the actions of one man and subsequently change our entire social fabric to accommodate the wrongs perpetrated against one minority........ yet not so quick to respond when something so vile as the rape of a 77 year old woman is just a cultural issue that needs sensitive and tolerant understanding?

Two men, two crimes,  yet two different outcomes.

One changes a Nation and the other changes nothing. Because it is culturally sensitive.

This is NOT an issue about New Zealand or about Australia or indeed any ONE Nation.

This is something that needs to be addressed on an International level.

As BruceRugby said:

Good question, BruceRugby. WHY?

Footnote

I attach a piece written by someone and I wonder what you think of it. I have to ask you - who do you think wrote this?

“There is only one victory, but many defeats.
To lose our lands, our culture and our people is a defeat.
To continue on without our culture, but still own our lands, is a defeat.
To survive with our culture, but to lose our lands, to lose our future, is a
defeat.
There is only one victory.
The survival of our people, our culture and our lands isn’t enough. We
must thrive, we must march ever forward to our place among the stars
and we WILL reach the destiny our people deserve.
Anything else is a defeat.
The war will not be easy, the death toll will assuredly be high. The going
will be tough and many of us will die.
I cannot guarantee it will be comfortable, I cannot guarantee it will be
easy and I cannot guarantee that every act will be a success.
All I can guarantee is that inaction is sure defeat, power structures will be
tested and likely will fall and most of all there is only the future ahead
and attempting to march back to any earlier time will get you no where at
all.
You may stumble. You may fall. But the only way to get to the final
destination, total victory, is to get up and keep marching forward. No
matter what. March.
Mistakes will be made, losses will be had, some failures are certain and
some endeavours will go bad.
But in the end the struggle is a beauty in itself, and the victory will be all
the sweeter because of it.
Final victory is yours, if you have the will for it.
As for me, my time has come. I cannot guarantee my success. All I know
is the certainty of my will and the necessity of my cause. Live or die,
know I did it all for you; my friends, my family, my people, my culture,
my RACE.
Goodbye, god bless you all and I will see you in Valhalla.”
