As the sun sets on yet another day of defeat at the hands of left wing insurgency, I am forlorn.
I mourn the death of freedom on the day before the dawn of Armistice Day. Remembrance Day, Veteran's Day or whatever noble name it has in your particular Nation.
My heart goes out to those who, unlike the dead who miraculously rise from their graves to vote or be even elected, slumber with heavy hearts in their eternal rest.
How they must shake their heads in disbelief at what is happening in our world today.
How they must weep their silent tears and wonder " was it worth it? "
What have " we " allowed to be done in their absence? Truly, how have " we" sat back and allowed this desecration of their memories, their sacrifices and their blood, sweat and tears?
Why have " we" sat idly by as the war machine of leftist propaganda has armed itself and infiltrated our classrooms and our homes?
On November 11th, 1918, at 11 o'clock in the morning, the end of the First World War was announced: Germany surrendered to the Allied Forces. After 4 long years of bloodshed, the final Armistice was signed...
In this time of turbulence and upheaval, we must not forget the battles fought for us and how the sacrifice of others has given us the freedom to protest, the freedom to speak out and the freedom to vote and have those freedoms protected.
As we move through this period of upheaval, please take time out to remember this. Were it not for those brave men and women, this debacle over who won or lost an election would not be on the table. In fact, the word " freedom " would have long ago been erased from our dictionaries.
I have marked the days of this sort of significance all of my adult life. I have cried and expressed my heartfelt gratitude on each anniversary of ANZAC Day, and I have celebrated with reverence the importance of Armistice Day.
So what was so special about 11th hour of the 11th day at 11 am in 1918?
The First World War was known as "The Great War" and the "War To End All Wars". The 'Central Powers', the losers in the war, lost more than 3,500,000 soldiers on the battlefield. The 'Allied Powers', the victors, lost more than 5,100,000 men. On average, more than 5,600 soldiers were killed on every day of the war.
The fact that 20,000 British soldiers were killed on the first day of the 'Battle of the Somme' is often recalled with horror. Over 5 million civilians are also estimated to have perished on the European continent alone, under occupation, bombardment, hunger and disease.
Within 6 weeks of the war starting almost half a million men had volunteered to fight for God, King, and country, and for the freedom of the world. Britain lost one of its finest generations... They came from all walks of society: Men from the Victorian Bible-believing generation who were willing to stand and fight for these noble ideals.
November 11th is known as "Armistice Day" or "Remembrance Day" in Great Britain and its Commonwealth countries, and as "Veterans Day" in the United States. After the Second World War, the nearest Sunday to this day became known as "Remembrance Sunday"; and at 11 a.m. on this day, two minutes of silence are held, to give thanks to God who brought us through the war and gave us the victory, and to remember those who laid down their lives. The Netherlands, Belgium, and France, also stop in silence to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. source
The war that was fought in masks and fought with an overwhelming sense of patriotic duty. The war that was fought so we could wear masks? Have our elections stolen? Our rights destroyed? Our lives meddled with by overbearing politicians and bureaucrats? Our children and grandchildren brainwashed to believe in fairytales?
It comes as no surprise to me that we are sitting here in 2022, 104 years after the end of the War to end all Wars and now we are at war with each other. Citizen against Citizen, father against son, mother against daughter and child against child. After all, we were given the freedom to bicker and fight amongst ourelves.
But surely this freedom is being denigrated today? It seems that it has been used as freedom to insult, humiliate, ridicule and cheat in order to win an election?
I have this thought going around in my head that " all is fair in love and war. " And it makes me feel that we are at war because we have been conditioned, by Social Media and MSM, to hate each other and form teams of armies, prepared to stand up to each other in order to win.
Win what? I ask again, win what?
Because, unlike the war in 1914-1918, the war in 1939 - 1945 , we are now at war with each other.
We will, as Citizens, all be losers. The only winners will be the Politicians and big business who are inciting violence, division and violence.
As our world clock once more ticks toward the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, I wonder how many of those out there inciting division and hatred have stopped and thought about what is happening .
EVERYTHING our brave men and women did, sacrificed and defended is being eroded. The past few years have been a quagmire of lies, cheating, violence, manipulation and division.
While many are celebrating the death of Liberty, there are still many of us who salute those that fought so bravely and gave so much so that we could at least have a chance at freedom.
Is it too late to fight back?
I wonder.....
